Where have my treasures found a home?

Yes, so we didn't get this dresser this past weekend. But, we saw 2 of them (similar) while on our adventure. We got this chest maybe 3 years ago at a local auction. They had been trying to sell it for several weeks, but no one was interested in it. It is solid oak (mine and Scott's fave furniture) with a chest on the side. No one at the auction seemed to know what it was for. Well, we figured it out this weekend - the smaller chest was used as a hat box. How cool is that? The ones we saw this weekend were over $1,000.00 for sale - and we DIDN'T pay that much for ours. We thought that was pretty neat!

Here is a close up of the motif on the bed. This is a picture of the foot board. It is just the neatest little thing.

It is so weird how much we have n common. My husband and I love to go antique shopping too. We love anitique pottery especially. Oak furniture is our favorite too. It looks like we have the exact bed. Too weird.
I just love that dresser. I am sorry I have not stop by lately. It has been a busy week.

I love that dresser. Are you going to leave it or refinish it? It's beautiful no matter what, there is a antique store here that is going out of buisness and everything is 50 percent off, I wish I had some money and could go crazy!

Girl, I could do some damage there... Anyway, the finish is beautiful as it is. I do periodically oil it (way overdue)...
