I miss him already.
I got Boomer in 2001. He was a Christmas present from my Aunt Laura. Such a gentle soul! When we first got him, I got him certified as a therapy dog. We visited John Knox nursing home for several years, in fact until the kids came along.
When it got too hard to visit with kids, he was retired to our home.
He loved being inside! Boo was a big boy - 70 pounds at his best. But, if hair had weight, it would have been more! And, he was a true Collie. A baby to the core. Gentle as a flea, but sensitive to everything.
I sure did love this dog. I have cried to the point I will be Chinese in the morning, I'm sure. I wish I had some Preparation H...
Yes, I miss him already.

There will never be another one like Boomer. He was so gentle and sweet. We will all miss him and I know it is really hard for you, Kris, right now. You gave him such a good home and he loved it there. He will be missed and thought of lovingly for a long, long time. Some dogs just 'come and go' but Boomer was one to touch our hearts, in a very special way.
This post brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss! I know it's hard for you. Thanks for sharing about him. :-)
I am so sorry for you!
Oh, Kristi,
I am so sorry to hear about Boomer. I am starting to cry as I write this. He was such a wonderful dog. He was good with old and young people. I have several precious pictures of him and Megan when she was a baby.
Know we love you and are thinking of you.
Patrice
I am so sorry, Kristi. What a life he had, full of love and family.
I am so sorry to hear about Boomer. He sounds like a wonderful dog and I know he will be missed!
Kristi, I am so sorry about Boomer.
He was the sweetest dog I ever knew, bar none. We were so right to give him to you...you were just what he needed and he loved being with you. I know how hard this is for you, sugar and we are all grieving with you. There will never be another Boo and we were soooo lucky to have known and loved him. You gave him a truly good life and I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart!
Oh I am so sorry. He was such a good boy, even though he would droll all over you. He will truely be missed by all who knew him.
Kristi, I am so sorry to hear about Boomer. I know how it can just break your heart to loose a dog that is a family member. I thought I would never get over loosing Jack, my Aussie. Still get choked up when I think about him. I know you gave Boomer a wonderful home, that he had a love filled life. God bless you.
Ms. Donna
