Nothing much

I think I have fallen into the rut that everyone else has. No pictures. No really updates.

We have been running our fireplace constantly in the last week. It is drying out my sinuses. As much as I love it, I asked Scott to give it a break - so that my head will get a break. It is still so chilly in this house - I'm thinking of getting an estimate for getting more insulation put into the attic.

I didn't feel all that great yesterday at work. My head is stopped up, again. My body just didn't feel that great. And, wouldn't you know, there was a pitiful little dog that had 2 broken legs - both on the front. Crazy, I know. It broke the first one 2 weeks ago when it jumped out of the owner's arms. Then, it broke the other one falling off the bed. I tried for almost 2 hours to fix it, but I just couldn't. She weighs 6 pounds, and I just didn't have anything that small to work. Very frustrating. Anyways, I didn't get home from work last night until almost 8pm.

But, I feel better today. I plan on getting the kids outside today and detail my car. I just love my car... :) My Bullet, that is!

OK, so what happened with the little dog? Your blog is like a soap opera with a cliff hanger at the end. Did you have to put the dog down, did they take it to the ER where they may have smaller stuff to fix whatever, etc...what happened? : )
Second, do you have an update on Harper?
Glad you are feeling better. Love you much!

Sorry about the lack of info... I ended up placing a splint on the leg after repositioning. The owner doesn't want to spend money on a plate (which is really what it needs). So, she looks like she has stilts on her front legs. The real danger is of a non-union - where one or both of the legs never heal. If one is a non-union, it could be amputated. If both are, there is nothing that can be done...

Harper is improving! There is a link to her blog on my side bar, and in the post under "Kelly and her husband"...

Right there with you on the stuffy head...the heat is so dry. As soon as we turned it on I started sneezing. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I can not wait until the spring comes and all this cold weather and colds go away. I am glad you were feeling better today.

That poor dog sounds pitiful, I hope the splits work.

Do you have a humidifier on your heat pump or furnace? That will help with the dryness. Hope the little dog is going to be ok. Thanks for the link to Kelly's blog about Harper. Do you just know her from Blogger-space? What an outpouring of love for that baby! Take care of yourself.

Don't you love how we are so "into" your animal stories? LOL> It is like reading a James Herriot book so don't be stingy with the details. And you thought you didn't have anything to blog about....: )

I was thinking he had it again this season. Didn't he? Yes South. I don't know much more yet. I can't even go with her for support because I am sick with Brochitis and sinus and it would compromise her and my Brother is 3 hours away on a job. He is in business for himself right now and has to take what they can get. She is all alone with her. mom has big sister Abby at home sick as well. Not as sick though. It seems like everyone is sick. We took both of ours to ped this morning. Lily is on 3rd antibiotic since Thanksgiving. Sinus and Ear infection. He said it is starting to go into chest. Was croup.
Bad time huh? Your any better?
