Kid funnies

  • Kate and I were working on reading last night. She loves to sound out the letters, but is having a little trouble putting them together. We were saying "H A T" and sounded out the letters several times, and I asked her to put the sounds together - what was the word? And she replied, "Squirrel!"

  • Brooks was wanting me to pick him up so he could see inside the washing machine. I asked him, "What do you say?" and he replied, "Yes Ma'am" and I said try again, to which he replied, "Thank you welcome!" and when asked once more, he said, "YES MA'AM!". Never found "please".

I always have to give in to Noah on things like that. You can tell they're racking their brain for the perfect "manners" but just can't come up with it :)

Ian has done what Kate did, too.

I love Dave! Let's start our own Dave Ramsey Fan Club!

Which one of us gets to be president? (smile)

Don't kids say the funniest things? They make the world a happier place since they make you laugh. xoxo

I am so glad you clarified on that comment because I didn't know what you were talking about! :-)

But I love Dave too, so it sounded like something I would say... :-)

First off, that picture of your daughter below is adorable, what a beautiful baby, you should have a dozen :)! Don't you love the cute things kids say. Helping a child learn to read is such a difficult sometimes annoying yet wonderful thing!

I agree with the comment about having a dozen :) I told Kelly, she and Tim should have a housefull and I'm hoping and praying Jenny and Brandon will, too ;)

That Kate is too cute and so smart, too. Are you considering our preschool for her next year? I'm sure Alice has raved to you about it, but I wanted to tell you how pleased we are there too.

I have been trying to prep the girls for KidSing, and I feel like I am getting nowhere. I thought I would start with an easy one last week, so I said, "When I grow up, I want to marry a ..." And Mary Ashley called back "a fairy!"
