Bullet is still our main squeeze...

Mom and Dad took our kids up to Nashville to my niece's birthday party this weekend. We wisely thought we would use our time to go car shopping!

After getting up at 6am, we drove up to Atlanta to see some cars that we had found online. I have to say that I was disappointed with them. Maybe the car pictures are just much more impressive than the cars themselves? Anyway, we spent the entire day there, and came home with our Rudy (the truck). :(

But, we learned a lot yesterday! First, we drove other types of cars that we hadn't considered. And, we liked them! Second, we learned about certified used cars, and how much safer and protected we will be as a buyer if we purchased one. Thirdly, we have changed our minds completely on what we are in the market for... (top secret until later... *cheezy grin*).

We have spotted a few in B'ham that we are interested in - thankfully B'ham and not Atlanta! But, we are back to the norm next week. We'll see how it goes bringing kiddos with us!

Car shopping is just not as much fun as I had thought it would be. Joe negotiated the deal for the first car we bought as a married couple, and I was so disappointed to be left out of the haggling process. So the next time he included me, and I had a sick feeling in my stomach the whole time. So now I'm happy to just let him bring a car home. (Maybe it's the same as my wanting him to just bring a kitten home. Could it be that I feel guilty not to bring home every car on the lot? Hmmm ... .)

When we bought our Altima, that was a whole new experience. Pretty much, my old car died in Atlanta so we had to find one pretty quickly. Chris just finished his second year of school. I knew the finances, so he had to get down to the price I wanted. It worked well for us! Now, we start looking again, as his is about to bite the dust!

Just take your time, honey! I looked for six months before I bought my Jeep Liberty in 2002 and I've never regretted the decision. I absolutely love my Jeep and hope "she" and I have many years left together! Take your time!

Much love,

Aunt J
