Funny faces and Candy Trees

I have tried to get pictures of Brooks running for quite a while. He really has the funniest faces when he runs. Scott hopes he outgrows this... HA!

Here is probably our only crafty project of the holidays... Mom did this with us when we were kids. We would decorate something (trees, bells, stars, stockings) with construction paper, then glue on candy. Each night we would get a piece of candy, and as the candy disappeared we knew that Christmas was closer and closer. We just loved this as children, and Kate and I had fun doing this today while Brooks was asleep.

By the way, we were at the dr's office this morning. Brooks started running a fever again last night. He now has an ear infection *sigh*. I hope he feels better soon.

Can you even believe the excitement on her face? (sure....)

You and Kate made those much prettier than the ones we made when you were small!!! She will get more excited as she is allowed a piece each night before the big day! (Hope Brooks feels MUCH better by tomorrow.) What a special craft time with your sweet little girl!! (My word verification this go-round on your blog is 'typlooke'---where do they come up with things, and why?!)

I love the craft! I have always wanted a count down for Christmas and now we can have 2 things at once!!! I am sooooo copying your idea! You are so funny about the clocks! I would have NEVER noticed that. That shows TRUE photography skills....'every little detail'.

Brooks faces are hilarious!

Love the craft idea, too. We may have to do this one.

Love the photo of Brooks running in his cute Santa outfit! The skinned knee makes it even more adorable! Such a boy!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my mournful post. You're right about work-- you love what you do, but a baby changes everything. A year ago, I thought I'd be in a better position to stay home awhile, but hindsight is 20/20 and moving to GA has been tough for us. I am praying for many positive changes in 2009!
