Have you met banket?

I thought it was worth introducing you to banket. This is Brooks' best friend. There is nowhere we go without banket. And, somehow when banket is around, his right thumb finds his way to his mouth! I mean, every single time!

This blanket was made by Holly's mother. Holly was our adopted student at Faulkner for 3 years. We miss her a lot, but she is finishing up grad school at Southern Mississippi and then on to an internship in KY.

Holly, please tell your Mom how much Brooks loves his banket. I just hope that it will last many more years to come!

Ironic, isn't it, that he DOESN'T have his thumb in his mouth in either of these pictures!

There is nothing wrong with being attached to a blanket. :) and, if mine are any example, it will last him at LEAST 37 years...

He is so cute. He looks about the same age as my little boy, 18 months? It sounds silly, but I was so sad when mine stopped sucking his thumb at six months, it was just so stinkin cute.

I'm all for little lovies that get us through the pains of growing up. Of course, that old pink poodle in my closet? I don't really sleep with him when I'm sick anymore ;)

Emma has a "night night" she is really attached to -- a soft pink blanket that is really thick. She carried it with her every day last week when we were in Disney World, and I was afraid she would have a heat stroke snuggling with it. Or I would have one looking at it! But she is a happy girl with her blanket and fingers in her mouth. Mary Ashley is the same way!

So sweet. Wonder what my new little one will attach to? Garrett loved "Tocky, the octopus!"
