A boy and his blanket

Sprinkler fun

We tried this last Wed, and it was cold. Well, it was still cold today, but the kids were begging! They got a warm bath when they were finished!

We finished moving the monkey grass from half of the driveway. Then we used the sod moved from the walkway to put where the monkey grass was. It looks so much better already!

Things we did today:

-cleaned up the kitchen
-cleaned out the refrigerator (and it looks so good!)
-cut Scott and Brooks' hair
-returned the borrowed wetsaw
-bagged 4 bags of remaining leaves
-trimmed the hedges (that took all but 5 minutes)
-moved the monkey grass
-placed sod over the monkey grass areas
-mowed the front and back yards
-bathed both kiddos
-cooked supper

Whew!

And, the eye answer is...

Iris Coloboma!

Coloboma is a word that describes where tissue is missing. This can occur in any part inside or outside of the eye. It does commonly occur on the optic nerve, but can also involve the iris, eyelid, etc.

Thanks for playing - should I do this again?

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Boy, did we have fun this year! Despite Brooks being sick, he had a fantastic time, as did Kate. She got 26 eggs, and Brooks found 19 eggs. I have had to limit their candy intake... after all, we did want them to be able to sleep at some point! :)

Silly boy

Tonight, Scott was going over Brooks' medicines. Scott said, "Hmmm... this one is 3 1/2 mls" Then Brooks says, "I said 3 1/2 mls! I talk like you!" Scott replied, "That's right, you do" to which Brooks said, "I speak English, Daddy. Did you know that?"

Interesting eye

I know, it takes a special person to have an affinity for the unusual. I saw this dog last week. This eye was a first for me. I'm not sure what it is... I hope that Rick can shed some light....
