Here are 5 random facts about me:

1. I have a large scar on my upper right arm from where a horse bit me when I was 16. Most people ask me if I was burned as a child.
2. I can't wait to travel with Scott one day. I would love to go on some organized bus tours of the United States.
3. I could care less about going to the zoo. Most people think that is weird, because I am a veterinarian. But, it just doesn't interest me one way or the other.
4. I have never had a sip of alcohol.
5. Scott was my first and last kiss. He was also the first person that I seriously dated. And, he is the most wonderful person in the world to me.

SNOW!

Here are some pictures of our house Saturday morning. We were so excited! Its a shame our kids aren't old enough to really enjoy this. I just love how softly it falls, and the quiet sound it makes.
I also added a picture of my collie, Boomer. He has the prettiest eyes.

Ginger

Last night, I put to sleep our neighbor's older dog. She had been part of their family for 14 years. In fact, they said that their youngest child was born a few months after they got her. It was very hard for me - knowing how much this animal has meant to their family for so many years.

People often ask me how I am able to do it. They often say that they would never be able to put an animal to sleep because it would be so sad. Most of the time, I am OK. It is really something that I am quite used to. And, in many cases, it is the very best thing I can do for that animal - to alleviate it's suffering. And, that is a good thing.

It is most difficult when I am either good friends with a client, have treated their pet for many years, or knowing their pet is a link to a special past. In Ginger's case - I'm sure that my neighbors could see their children as babies, growing up with her. And, I think about my own pets and their link to my past.

We all cried last night. It was the best thing for Ginger.

Busy, busy, Busby!

Well, my tongue is dragging. Come to think of it, when is it not these days?

Monday was wild at work. We had 9 surgeries, on top of a C-section that came in the doors that morning. Schnauzer with 6 pups. This was my 4th C-section and everyone did great. It took a bit to get the pups going, but they came in for their tail docks yesterday and Dr. Brooks said they were "robust". Makes me smile! :) I can't wait to see them at their 6 week checkups!

Anyway, I have spent the remainder of the week getting our house ready for BUNCO on Monday night. 16 great ladies will converge on Auburn Hill Drive for a night of dinner, chocolate and fun. I am really excited about it. After finishing with this, our next adventure is planning Kate's birthday party. I can't believe she will be 3 years old already.

Brooks has had a slight cough all week. However, it has progressively gotten a bit worse every day. I think I will call Dr. Simon in the morning and see if I need to get him looked at. On a GREAT note, our insurance changed with a new contract for the workers at UPS, and our co-pay is only $10.00 a visit! :) It used to be $20.00. So, that will make it easier to swallow if it is a visit for "nothing"... (you Moms know what I mean)

And, no, Brooks isn't walking yet (at least on his own!) Of course, he'll walk all over the house while holding just one of our fingers. He is so cautious - I hope that means he won't be a dare devil one day! I tried to get a movie on my camera, but my batteries died. Argh. They are rechargeable but are about 3 years old. So, they don't last longer than generic batteries.

Today, while eating lunch, I was slicing some cheese for Kate to eat. Now, she loves cheese - it's her favorite. It was then that I heard the words ring out.....

"Mama, cut the cheese! Mama, cut the cheese!"
